As health care in the Gulf South continues to change and evolve, there is increasing pressure on physician practice overhead expenses, coupled with decreased physician reimbursement. Managed care organizations and large insurance companies are slowly entering the area and changing the way health care is delivered. Large health systems and hospitals have responded by purchasing physician practices with the hope of securing referrals and maintaining control of the health care delivery system. We believe that most physicians, given the alternative, prefer to remain independent of managed care organizations, insurance companies, and hospitals.
Consequently, LPC/MPC offers physicians an alternative that ensures physician control over their future. This organizational structure, coupled with a strong partner like LPC/MPC, provides the optimal vehicle for today's physician to negotiate the challenges of our changing health care system. We invite you to join us in the development of the leading network of physicians across the Gulf South.
