Remote Terminal(s) PC's in you office give real-time, on-line access to your data. Checking account balances, insurance information, phone numbers, etc. are simply a matter of calling up the patient's account on-screen. |

Remote Printer(s) You can generate reports, forms, and letters as they are needed. These might include aged accounts receivable reports, refund reports, collection reports, claim forms, demand statements, collection letters, etc. Detailed account activity reports can also be generated for individual accounts. |

Data Communication Equipment On-line access to our systems is accomplished by using a high-speed internet connection and electronic communication components to relay and translate the data signals. |

Courier Our courier makes daily, weekly or bi-weekly rounds to your office, based on your needs. The courier picks up batches of charges and receipts from practice management clients' offices and delivers reports, claim forms, etc. to shared clients. If your office is not within a 30-mile radius of an LPC/MPC office, we will probably use the postal service in place of our courier, as needed. |

Data Preparation Preparation of charges for entry into the system by cross-referencing procedure and diagnosis codes, verifying and updating insurance company numbers and addresses, and insuring that all information needed to enter the charges is present on the charge tickets. |

Demographics Entry Keying of patient names, addresses, insurance information, and other essential demographic data into your database. |

Charge and Receipt Entry Keying of charges, receipts and adjustments. |

Print Insurance Claims Generation of insurance claims (daily or less often - depending on charge volume); checking of claim status (filing date, refile date, payment date and amount, write-off date and amount) on the system; and refile or reprint claims as needed. |

Generate Individual EOMBs LPC/MPC prints Individual Explanation of Medicare Benefits forms at the same time as the claims secondary to Medicare are printed. These are delivered by courier or postal service to Shared Clients. |

Transmit Electronic Claims LPC/MPC transmits claims to Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, and to over 300 commercial carriers via its clearinghouse. |

Submit, Monitor and Refile Insurance Claims Review all claims printed, and attach any required documentation. Enter appropriate comments into patient accounts, and onto claims which must be printed hardcopy and then mailed. Submission of secondary and tertiary claims with attached individual Medicare Explanation of Benefits forms to each of these supplemental claims. Research denials and re-file as appropriate, along with attaching any additional documentation, which has been requested by the carrier. |

Generate Monthly Bills Generate and submit monthly statements, utilizing Medic's FastBill service. Our "cycle billing" feature may be used, whereby a fourth of your patients receive statements every week. This provides and even distribution of receipts and patient phone calls throughout the course of the month. Receipt of an itemization of each statement processed, as well as address correction reports from the FastBill service. |

Receive/Post Payments Copy all checks received, and post personal and insurance receipts to patient accounts. Take the required write-offs for government carriers and managed care plans. Patients can even make payments in person at the office (LPC/MPC or yours). |

Bookkeeping and Banking Make daily deposits and issue refund checks for accounts that have been overpaid. LPC/MPC sends deposit slips to Practice Management clients via courier or mail. |

Telephone Answering for Patient Inquiry Receive incoming calls from patients regarding their billing and insurance filing (for Practice Management clients, our phone number prints on your patient statements). |

Past Due Account Collection Pursue payment of past due accounts via contacting patients, employers, insurance companies and attorneys. As a last resort, transfer the account to an outside collection agency. |

Monthly Reports Monthly reports are tailored to your needs. These may include: aging analyses, collection reports, insurance on hold reports, outstanding claims reports, production reports, monthly and year-to-date charges, receipts and adjustments, department or location reports, etc. |

Personnel Replacement For an additional fee, LPC/MPC can offer personnel replacement service for Practice Management clients, filling in for your clerical employees when they are ill or on vacation. We can also assist you in finding, interviewing and hiring your office personnel. |
